Lets say there is video footage of a Yid killing someone else with being warned first, and there is no doubt the video is not a forgery. Would that be enough knowledge for the Beis Din to condemn someone for commiting the crime?

It wouldnt go under the defintion if witness but it should go under the label of

Loh Teheh Shmiah Gedolah Meriah / Let not listening be greater then seeing

I remember learning once (do not remember source) that even seeing indirectly - like through a mirror might not be good enough - if this is true then surely a video camera is not good.

The gemara learns the idea of Chazakah Deme'ikara from a Nega that is on a house. When you go out the house, the Cohen announces that it is Tamei. How does he know that the Nega is still there? Must be because there is Chazakah. So some ask, maybe he used a mirror and saw in the house using that, must be that a mirror doesnt work. - Yehuda HaMaccabiFeb 21  '13 at 18:54

The Gemoro says that if a person is seen going into a house holding clean knife and comes out of the house a minute later with the knife dripping with blood, it was clear that no one else was in the house and there is a freshly stabbed corpse on the floor, he cannot be found guilty because there were no witnesses. So it seems as though you need real live witnesses or real live vision for the Beis Din!

There was no evidence there. Here there is video footage, there is a difference! - gadol hadorAug 27  '12 at 00:18

He may not one of the Arba Misos, but Beis Din have other powers if they know that someone is a Rotzeach. The gemara talks about indirect capital punishment and other methods. Also if you look in drashos haran on parshas shoftim he writes that when due to technical issues someone cant be convicted but it is known (like in this situation) that he is a Rotzeach it is the role of the Melech to fill in any gaps in justice. The Melech has unlimited power in the situation.
