why do Belzers eat before Davening?

Thats it, i know that Belzers have a minhag to eat before davening, how do thery get round the Halacha forbidding it

The halacha is clear that if you are hungry enough that it will affect your concentration during davening, it is permitted to eat. They probably hold that nowadays people are normally in that state of hunger before breakfast.

Very easy to get round:

The Rebbe lets. Its Letzoirech Tefillah. Its past 11 am anyway. The ikar is the Varmkeit!
